Our approach to
Resident-First Occupied Rehab

At Frerichs Construction, we believe the best way to minimize disruption during renovations is to complete all work in a unit at one time—and to do it quickly. Our resident‑first occupied rehab approach ensures that each apartment undergoes a focused two‑week renovation, allowing residents to remain in their homes while improvements are made.

Minimizing Disruption

Residents are provided with totes and boxes to pack their belongings, which our team carefully moves within the unit during renovations. While residents remain in their homes, a common lounge area is available for daytime use, offering comfort and convenience throughout the process.

Proven Success in Sensitive Settings

Our resident‑first methodology has been successfully applied in housing for vulnerable populations. In 2024, we renovated the memory care wing of a senior facility in North Oaks, MN. Early walkthroughs allowed us to document existing conditions and plan for special accommodations, ensuring the project met the unique needs of residents and stakeholders alike.

Respect at the Core

Every member of our staff is trained and experienced in occupied settings. We treat residents with dignity and respect, maintaining open communication and a supportive environment from start to finish
